Hi All,
I had initially planned to post a farewell to Seattle here yesterday, but the move has had me too wrecked to think. The moving truck pulled out of town late yesterday afternoon and ever since we have been cleaning, and enjoying what little time we have left in this wonderful city. Yesterday we said goodbye to our favorite restaurant Txori. The pintxo murouno was even more delicious than normal, it was almost as if it knew we were saying goodbye. Tonight we are having pizza with my family at a one of those hip Belltown pizzerias, before returning home to watch the sunset over my mountains, glass of sparkling wine in hand one last time.
Hopefully I won’t be long without internet access and have hopes of being back by Friday. Wish us luck!
I hope the leaving was sweet and you’ll get back again when you want to. Meanwhile, I’m getting EXCITED that the time when I actually get to MEET you is getting closer!
Can David and Joan and Barbara and Debbie come too?
I’m excited for you and your new culinary adventures, but I’m also bummed for myself since your Californification will make it even harder for me to see you. This is me hoping the Golden State heat gets to you in the end and The Emerald City beckons you once again. Is that wrong?

Rainey- you are going to just adore the hell out of her and Phil. They are just the greatest pair since…well, since Brian and me, but I am biased.

Leaving is a bittersweet time, but I am sure that you will manage all with your usual fortitude and the move into the new place will be smooth and trouble free.

Lots of luck Erin… I left my heart on Brighton’s pebbly beach and I still miss it (the beach, not my heart)!
One day, one day… I shall stand on that beach again… preferably before the rising sea levels mean it’s several metres underwater!!
