Mutineer Magazine

A  couple of weeks ago I teased you with the news that I had been hired to write an article for a magazine, but kept the details under wraps. Well, today I shedding all pretension of ambiguity and share all. . . or almost all as I want you to go and pick up a copy for yourself!

Toward the end of February my brother and his friend Hunter helped me get on the radar of Alan Kropf, Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Mutineer Magazine. Mutineer is a fine beverage magazine out of L.A. founded by Alan about a year ago as a way to bring beverage news to the public in a more relaxed manner. Or as they say,”fine beverage . . . redefined”.

I was contacted by Alan last month about writing an article on the Seattle coffee scene (which as many of you know is right up my alley), and I happily accepted. My very first article will appear in the April/May issue of Mutineer hitting shelves on March 31st, click here to find out where.

I should also mention that this moment does not solely belong to me. Phil will be making his photography debut right along with me. This could be the start of something good.

Thanks everyone for every hit, comment and visit to The Endive Chronicles. I couldn’t do this without you!

  • Oh, Freakin’ COOL! Both of you!! How awesome is THAT?!

Can I get a copy down here in P-Town? Lots of folks here would be interested at school.

Will think of you both as I work the Classic Wine Auction tomorrow, armed with a 55 gallon drum of Stumptown’s finest bean juice… which is, coincidentally, being held at the same venue as the Barista Nationals at the same time.

    Hmmm… Wiiiiiine? Coffee? Wiiiiiiinnnnneeee? Coooooofffeeeeeeeeee?

    Damn!

  • Jen, beginning with this issue you will be able to find it at Borders and Barnes and Noble. mmm . . . Stumptown. It is incredibly awesome to work together like this is an event I hope is repeated often.

  • We are laying out the Seattle Coffee article at this very moment, and can’t wait to share this killer article with the world!

  • Christa Christa

Yay Erin and Phil! I’m so excited for you guys. Safe to say I even have goose bumps. I’ve got tons of questions….I’ll just have to call you. And be sure to tell everyone at Mutineer that they will have a new subscriber :)

  • Thanks Alan, I am excited to see how it has all come together!

Thanks Christa! It’s a great mag, I’m sure you’ll like it.

  • Well done Erin. Good luck. I’m sure you’ll do great.

  • Wow! Congratulations Erin and Phil. You two deserve this for all the hard work you’ve invested. It might be tough to find a copy here in Taipei, but I’ll keep an eye out for it anyway (we only get a few import magazines). :-) Will there be a copy of the article online as well?

    Thanks,
    Steve

  • Thanks Steve! We are both elated about all that has been happening. I am betting Mutineer hasn’t made it all the way to Taipei yet. This was our first national issue, but Mutineer will take over the world soon enough. As far as an online issue goes, I don’t think there is one, I should check into that one.
