Gravenstein and Chantarelles, these were the apples and mushrooms I grew up with in Norway. I can't wait to make this recipe, although I know I'll have to only pretend I am cooking with Gravenstein. Thank you, it sounds like a wonderful meal.

Erin,

Simply delicious is all I can say!!! I had to make subsititutions for the apples and the mushrooms. No chanterelles or Gravensteins in Searsport, Maine. I used baby bella mushrooms and braeburn apples. Did I mention no luck finding creme fraiche either (more substitutions).
The chicken was so moist and tender, the sauce wonderful...perfect for soaking up with bread. The apples and mushrooms, yum yum for my tummy!! Thank You Heidi

This sounds amazing, Erin! I don't think I've ever had chicken with cider before, but I just know it would taste fantastic.
