Apartment Hunting

Published by admin at 7:34 am under The Land Of Misfit Posts

This week I am going to do something a little different, as Phil and I are busy in Seattle trying to find our hip new digs. Some of you may have noticed, I have been sort of “Seattle-izing” the links page a bit and I thought this week I would draw your attention to some great websites out of Seattle. I will be home soon and promise to report on any epicurean delights I have stumbled upon.

Orangette

Orangette is a beautifully written and thoughtful account of daily life in the kitchen.

Tasting Menu

The partnership behind this blog features both chef and eater who provide a fresh hip perspective on the Seattle food scene.

Gluten-Free Girl

This well respected blog is much more than just a haven for the gluten sensitive. It is a vibrant account of discovery and life in the kitchen.

Culinary Fool

Culinary Fool is an enthusiastic account of dining and cooking in Seattle and occasionally the rest of the world.

Accidental Hedonist

The bloggers behind Accidental Hedonist display outstanding wit, thorough knowledge and discerning taste with every post. From the ins and outs of Whiskey to food politics, this site is definitely one to check out.

Seattle Bon Vivant

This is one of my favorite sites and although Viv hasn’t posted in a very long time I have heard rumors that she will be reappearing soon. Take a look through her archives, she is fantastic!

Seattle Tall Poppy

This blogger has a habit of stumbling upon and into interesting people, places and plates, it is definitely worth the read.

Seattle Dining

This site is a good source for happenings in the restaurant world.

Seattle Steve

Okay, so Seattle Steve is actually based out of Taipei, but he is a Seattle-ite living abroad and I think it is important to represent; or something like that. More importantly, Steve has serious camera skills.

Seattlest

Seattlest is a great source for what’s happening in Seattle.

Seattle Weekly

One of my favorite sources for information on food, music and film.

Neighborhood Farmer’s Market Alliance

I have been salivating over this site ever since a friend told me about it a few weeks back. I keep picturing all of the organic, artisanal and most importantly incredibly fresh veggies, cheese and meats I will be buying to cook with in my new apartment. . . . .soon.
